Expanded Notation and Fall Equinox
We have been working on expanded notation to 1000 in math. We learned about the long lifespan of the bowhead whale, the koi fish, the Galapagos tortoise, the quahog clam and the tuatara, and noted these using expanded notation.
Today is the Fall Equinox, and we learned from Blackfoot Elder Red Plume (Shane Cunningham) about the meaning of this important time. Ask your child to share some of his teachings with you.
We look forward to seeing you all at Parent Conferences tonight and tomorrow!
